“The Laughing Star”
COME ON BOARD AND LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR R&D PROJECT.
Are you ready to explore the enchanting world of puppetry, masks, mime, and the wonders of map projection technology? buck your belts, and let the adventure begin with our show: “The Laughing Star”.
Inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s much-loved novella – second only to the Bible as the most translated work ever – Joel’s work muses on the story’s themes of love, friendship and inclusion to create a family show.
“In this imaginative modern adaptation of the cherished classic I am exploring The Little Prince story, through a new character, a young girl called Lily.
Lily is not a princess, but she also lives in solitude and embodies the essence of those who may feel like outsiders within our social, cultural, and institutional contexts. Together with captivating techniques, such as puppets, masks, mime, mapping projection and interactive fun, Lily will embark on a whimsical journey to a dystopian world, one that intriguingly mirrors some aspects of our society.
As she navigates this modern dystopian landscape, our character becomes a playful symbol of those seeking connection and representation. And with the help of an important ally, Mr. Bloom, a biplane pilot who spends most of his time caring for his beloved garden, they might make some important changes in this puzzling planet.
This delightful and interactive experience warmly invites families to join in an enchanting exploration of society and self-discovery.”
